I have this weird relationship with religion, to put it frankly, I hate organised Religion, I am of the conviction that organised religion has been responsable for most of the wars in all of the 20th centuries and long before.
Much like Organised crime eg The Maffia/Camorra etc. has been responsable for most of the crimes, but funnily enough organised crime does not go back as far as organised religion although they have the same intricate and complicated rules you have to follow if you want to be a member.
They also have another thing in common, if you are a woman, you are not really welcome unless you are married to one of members/followers, (you chose the word!) or a child of one of them.
Of course there have been exceptions but they have mostly been of a sacrificial nature, like for instance Jeanne D’Arc…
Good enough to raise an Army but at the first opportunity they have, they burn her at the stake for a witch…
And getting back to intricate rules, anyone who has ever been to a house of prayer/church/schul/ Mosk, knows what I am talking about.
And again women other than wives (and daughters) have no place in this, our role as a women is more or less exactly the same under each religion: keep your husband happy, have loads of kids and than whatever the circumstances try your upmost to keep them alive, because their death will definitely be your fault.
Train them to observe the religion they are living under! Oh and one thing I forgot, do not try to bypass your husband in anyway, shape or form because the wrath of their deity and the rule of men will do anything to keep you as a woman under controll and they go very far in that!
And there is my reason for disliking organised religion, I do not hate it, because that would cost me far too much energy, which I cannot spare for such rubbish institutions, but I have a huge dislike!
And eventhough I have a huge dislike, I know and respect and even like quite a few men working within these organised religion, I like their humanity and sometimes I even admire their zaelotry, but then preferably from afar.
Because like with any organisation, not everyone within the organisation is automatically bad, desilusioned yes, but that gives me leeway to actually approach and talk to them.
I mean if you are taught that women are less worthy of you, you start to live by these rules, nothwithstanding the fact that it has probably been only due to women that you are alive and well living on this earth!
I am a child born in the fifties, so I have seen religion change from something easy going and belonging, to something hugely fanatic!
I see photos of women who in the 60s had more freedom than they have today, so what gives??
Why is religion still this staic? Why are we making all these pretend rules up? If this because men are getting afraid of the superiority of women so they need to make them submissive once more, preferably burning them even at the stake, if not by fire than by reputation or gossip!
And why are we women accepting it??
You see religion and organised crime like The Maffia have a lot in common with sports, you can play or do anything you want to do, as long as you understand/accept the rules of the game, if you protest too much, you are out.
Every sports organisiation has a lot of corruption on board, sometimes even the whole orgaisation is controlled by one man, sometimes by many men and the occasional woman, but please do understand, that as long as we women accept their pathetic rules who are mostly made up to keep us under, we will never ever live in freedom like men do!
I for one will not be a member of anything, where I can not become the boss of all bosses, purely by the fact that I have a womb and not a willy.
I will not be put asunder by rules set up by men, because I do believe in a deity, which I find easy to call God, but you can call it whatever you like, without me taking offence, without me thinking that yours is different, better, more whatever from mine, albeit in name only.
You see for me it is simple, I believe in three kinds of people, I like you, I do not like you or you leave me to distinterested to care one way or another…
It has nothing to do with colour, race, creed or religion. I dislike fanatism, I think it is a sign of insecurity, but again that is just my opinion. I can and have friends who have a total diffrent opinion than mine, I can live with it, I do my thing, you do yours and than we sit down and have something to drink and laugh about our differences
What I will not put up with, is putting you down because your convictions are different from mine unless we are talking about women rights, I believe I am as equal to any man, as intelligent as any man, as innovative as any man, as an whatever skill to any man and therefore I am not accepting to live under any rule that prohibits my equalness!
And if you feel equal to me, we can have a drink, water, wine, coffee, tea whatever you like and we will like equals discussing this over the top crazy world we live in and we might even sort it within a short time, unfortunately this will not work due to the corruption of the world, but at least we tried!
I wish you a wonderful day and I hope you are getting better and better!
