You meet a lot of people along your trip, that is if you want to, which is definitely not for every one the case.
I like to talk to people, my co pilot likes to watch people, there is a huge difference.
But I love exchanging info with others eventhough I do quite often far too much of the talking!
Tonight I am in Murcia, we have been travelling for a week in and around Benidorm, met up with another female traveller and stood on a place with at least 30 campers in Benidorm.
But now we are here and I am totally surprised by the huge ranks full of any camper you can think of, in any size, pricetag and age. From 40 year olds to straight out of the showroom, you can watch them here!
I certainly have my favourites, Bisschoffs, Frankia, Bavaria and Hymers, loads of Hymers .
I am also shocked how many Concordes are staying here, also loads, I think if you put the Concordes together with the Carthagos and the odd Voyageur against the Hymers combined with the Bisschofs (mostly Flairs and one Clou) I think we have an even foot! The rest are everything else!
Makes you have never heard of and makes you see on every place you come to.
But the greatest pleasure is when you start talking, showing, comparing, not which is biggest, but what solution have you found for….
You get told that your Camper can easily have an scooter/motorbike on board and they show you how to ride it in and attach it properly. They show you security options which I will absolutely install and never thought of, they show you their solution in the garage for all the pile up.
And best of all they tell you about the nicest places, you should not miss!
In short it is fascinating to exchange information, so why then, does everybody close all their windows and doors and install themselves en masse in front of the tv, like they probably do at home?
Could we please leave the curtains a bit more open, because although your camper might be your castle, even castles had to open up and welcome new visitors.
And think how much information we could share together if we were just slightly more welcoming, I think we would all benefit in more ways than one.
I for one will keep my curtains and door open as much and long as is confortable, pls come over and talk, I am the Dutch Flair with the two dogs!
I wish you a safe and lovely day!
