When I grew up, in the late fifties, there were a lot of unspoken codes, loads of taboos, especially for women, but slowly in the 1960’s, these taboos stopped, changed, or were even eradicated, women were slowly but steadily showing that they could handle power and could look quite well after themselves.
Ladies like Indira Gandi and Golda Meir, showed the world that females were as powerful as men, could be as ruthless as men.
Women got a lot more freedom and possibilities to study and train along with men, we became equal to men, which in my mind is somewhat ridiculous, because seeing as we have the same brain, but a hell of a lot more resilience, we women in my eyes are actually superior to men.
But let’s not confuse this blog by giving you too much insight into my inner feelings.
You would think that equality would be everwhere by now, but actually it is quite the opposite! Women are being surpressed in different parts of the world in different ways and somehow we women are not protesting about it!
We seem to somehow have fallen asleep in the semi-comfortable way we are living and trying above all not too rock the boat.
But being old, has giving me a broad view of life and what I see is that females do not dare to show their force/power for fear of being called too masculin.
Even I am a “victim” of that, being told by one of my twinboys that I am not very feminine: “are you mum??”
In all honesty I was flabbergasted, I have raised these boys together with my husband, I thought I raised them right, but somehow I must have overstepped my “female” boundaries during this process.
It might have had to do sonething with the fact that I do not give any kind of consideration to what others might think of me. You see what you get and you get what you see and if you are nice to me, I am nice to you, and if not, I am not!
I have become somewhat fearless,due to the treatment I had throughout my life. I will not confront you with that side of me, unless I need to set boundaries. And you will be sorry to overstep that boundary.
So how come that young females still seem to think that the only way they can survive this life, is to go along with the mysogonistic behaviour of their male counterparts, partners, friends? How?
Have we women accrued too much fear to step out?
How is it possible that our liberties are being reigned in at an awful high rate and no female is protesting against it?
Are we really that pathetic and/or are we deluded enough to think that it does not really concern us?
But ladies if we will not defend ourselves, who will?
Because quite frankly look at the world and realise that our freedom is taken away on many different fronts and soon it is no more ME TOO but also YOU TOO,
It is easy to have an opinion about the treatment of women in e.g. Afghanistan, but than you are closing your eyes for what is happening in America, “land of the free”!
In certain states you have no right to an abortion, no matter what is going on!
Decided by (old) MEN, by men thus powerful, that when it happens to one of them, they will smuggle their daughter, mistress or whatever, over the countyline, in order to have it done anyway!
So the rule there is, as long as you have money, you live in the land of free!
But can someone explain to me that when we made a turn again going towards the dark ages, where men could decide over the faith of their women in the widest sense of the word.
Who are those guys who think they are allowed to take away our basic right of deciding about our own body! And why are we females just accepting it?
Why when this law was set up, did we women not stand our ground,
IF I HAVE NO BASIC RIGHT TO MY BODY, THAN NEITHER WILL YOU!
Or are we now throwing God in to keep women in order!
I wonder what God is thinking about this all, he must be quite disgusted by these men taking the reins again and again while the womenfolk, like cows to the slaughter abide by their rules, written up by men pretending to write God wishes, rules and thoughts!
Like we seemed to accept quite happily to have (fully intact) men to come into female changing rooms, because those losers, realising they could not ever come any higher in their own sexe competition, pretended to become female and have a regular stripshow as the cherry on the cake!
I only have daughters in Law and granddaughters, but if any male came into the changing room where either any of mine were, I will destroy them however I can!
Because my honour as a female will not allow this or any sexual conduct to take place on my watch!! Whatever the law says or does!
And how come that precious few females dare to complain, only after the fact that some fearless females stopped competing against them, which cost some of them their hard earned sportscareer, people finally started to see sense!
Perhaps we should have made a slogan like: What if it happens to your daughter???
And perhaps that is a brilliant slogan, because if I look at all those females who are foaming at the mouth trying to tell the rest of the world that their religion is taking over, I wonder at their common sense??
They only have to look at Iran and or Afghanistan to realise that the first thing that will happen is, that she will be silenced, their rights will be taken away, she will have to accept rape and beatings while she is not even allowed to talk to any other female and when she gets older, after having had too many kids, she will be replaced by a younger versions at the cost of him selling his daughters at the age of 6!
Or if I see that even in European countries, rape and assault on women is being punished less and less, especially if it is done by “visitors” who were “not known with the local laws and rules…”
And unfortunately the Policeforce and Department of Justice is too disinterested to do anything about it, even if the get the evidence on a plate!
They should realise that that “easy going” sets a pattern for new visitors, which means that we females are becoming sitting ducks, not allowed to defend ourselves, just having to take it and think about the honour if our country….
Oh and if we dare to defend ourselves, even with a pepperspray, we get thrown in jail!
If ever you want to tell the world that females are there for the taking!
This will be the female future ! And those fanatic females with their religion are too deluded, remiss of any common sense, to realise it and although I feel incredibly sorry for them, I also feel like smacking them for trying to destroy our female rights, we might still have!
But ladies do realise, when our foremothers fought for our rights, some got killed, raped, thrown into prison for it, so we did not get by them easily, so why give them so easily away?
Perhaps it is time that we start a world wide protest against our treatment by men and hopefully the lucky ladies who do have a perfectly reasonable partner will join us.
Because the fight is not against men, it is against the fact that we women are treated as if we are less than men.
